FAQ

  • If you'd prefer I take requests, yes!

If you'd prefer I stick to a playlist/guidelines that you've provided, I'm really good at saying "I'll see what I can do," and then conveniently forgetting that your uncle just requested Cotton Eyed Joe.

  • The last thing I want to do is encounter a situation where we're having so much fun, that you decide to come up and ask to keep the party going, and now I've gotta ask for more money.

So, I just won't do that. When you book me, you have me for as long as you need me.*

*Within reason. I have a cat to feed. Please don't hold me hostage.

  • Actually, yeah!

I like to keep you and your guests dancing as much as possible, so I use many of the same mixing techniques at weddings and corporate events as well as my nightlife gigs.

  • That's your decision!

    Want the unedited versions? Done!

Want it squeaky clean? You got it!

Wanna just save the dirtier stuff until after Grandma leaves? Me too!

  • Absolutely not. My persona at an ICT show is deliberately exaggerated to create a chaotic and energetic environment.

Unless that's the specific vibe you're looking for at your event, I prefer to adopt a more professional and respectful tone while working the mic.

  • If you book me, and I suddenly can't make it, it's my job to find a replacement you approve of. Luckily, there's TONS of great talent in the area, and generally speaking, it's a community of people who understand how important your event is.

And of course, if that doesn't work out, you're getting all of your money back.

  • GOOD! I wanna talk to you too! Hit me with an inquiry on the Booking page! (www.djmaxjames.com/inquiries)
